I am elated to have my poem “Guarded Truths” published by The Phoenix in Issue 64. The Phoenix Literary Journal is published annually and is managed and produced by students at Pfeiffer University, established in 1958.

    Long ago, my younger brother died by suicide. No note, no known reason. He was 22. The memories linger.
